A group of performers drawn from the short-lived Fox series The Heights, which aired a dozen installments during 1992 under the production of Aaron Spelling, formed this American ensemble. The program chronicled the efforts of young individuals seeking escape from ordinary routines through pursuit of musical stardom. Among the actual musicians portraying this on-screen outfit were Jamie Walters, born on 13 June 1969 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, handling vocals; Alex Désert, born 18 July 1968, on guitar; Cheryl Pollak on saxophone; Charlotte Ross, born 21 January 1968 in the USA, also on guitar; Zackary Thorne at the keyboards; Tasia Valenza, born 5 April 1967 in New York City, New York, USA, providing vocals; Shawn Thompson contributing guitar and vocals; and Ken Garito on drums. From the series emerged the track ‘How Do You Talk To An Angel’, which ascended to the summit of the American pop charts in November 1992. Yet this achievement arrived too late to save the program, as it faced cancellation merely seven days afterward, leaving a single installment unaired.
