The Limit

Operating under the pseudonyms Oattes and Van Shaik, the Dutch duo the Limit secured a UK singles chart peak of number 17 in January 1985 via the track ‘Say Yeah’. That solitary success proved short-lived, however, after the act quickly altered its name, with the result that Oattes And Van Shaik soon supplanted the Limit. Portrait Records nevertheless issued the pair’s debut album under the original title The Limit, and the release consequently sold very few copies, after which the artists vanished from the charts altogether.
