Hailing from Ontario, the brother-and-sister country act the Reklaws gravitate toward the pop-infused side of the genre. Their breakthrough arrived in 2018 when the single “Feels Like That” reached the summit of the Canadian Country chart, while the matching EP earned a Juno nomination. A second success followed the next year with the buoyant and instantly memorable “I Do Too,” which found a home on their first full-length release, Freshman Year. In the seasons that followed, the duo became fixtures on Canadian country radio, issuing two further albums—Sophomore Slump in 2020 and Good Ol’ Days in 2022—while scoring major successes such as the chart-topping “11 Beers” alongside Jake Owen and “Honky Tonkin’ About” with Drake Milligan. In 2024 they issued the EP Outliving (For Mom), a project created in tribute to their late mother.

Jenna and Stuart Walker, two of five siblings, have harmonized since childhood, performing for visitors at the family-run Yee Haw Adventure Farm in Cambridge, Ontario. They launched their professional partnership in 2012, appearing at regional festivals and capturing the Emerging Artist Showcase prize at the 2013 Boots and Hearts Music Festival. Frequent trips to Nashville over the ensuing years allowed them to study the business and sharpen their craft, eventually securing support slots with Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, and Blake Shelton. Early in their career their mother proposed spelling “Walker” backward to form the band name the Reklaws, a suggestion that endured. After signing with Universal Canada and unveiling their debut single “Hometown Kids,” they registered their first appearance on the country chart. Of the pair of EPs they released in 2018, the second, Feels Like That, proved decisive; its title track climbed to number one and achieved gold status. By year’s end the duo had collected both a Juno nomination and a Canadian Country Music Award. Momentum carried into 2019 with the Top Ten single “I Do Too” and the August arrival of their debut album Freshman Year. Early the following year they joined forces with Dean Brody on the celebratory “Can’t Help Myself,” which again topped the Canadian country survey. Later in 2020 they delivered their sophomore album, the tongue-in-cheek Sophomore Slump, whose singles “Where I’m From” and “Not Gonna Not” both reached the Top Five. Promoted in 2021, the platinum-certified “What the Truck” became another hit, this time shared with Sacha. Further collaborative fortune came in 2022 with “11 Beers” featuring American artist Jake Owen, which returned them to the top of the chart and joined “What the Truck” on the Juno-nominated Good Ol’ Days, released that November. At the 2023 Canadian Country Music Awards, Good Ol’ Days was honored as Top Selling Canadian Album of the Year. The group captured its stage vitality on the 2023 live recording The Reklaws: Live at History before uniting with Drake Milligan for the chart-topping “Honky Tonkin’ About.” Amid 2024 singles such as “I Grew Up on a Farm” and “One Beer Away,” they issued Outliving (For Mom), the EP dedicated to their late mother.
