Biography
Hailing from Boston, The Takers deliver punk with a gritty edge that draws more garage-rock hooks than most bands in the style, propelled by Mike Carreiro’s raw half-shouted vocals. Their first EP, Never Get Out of These Blues Alive, appeared in 2001. The following year brought the high-energy If the Blues Were Red, issued on Rubric.
