Biography
Emulating the model of storied family acts ranging from the faith-driven Clark Sisters to the pop-oriented Jackson 5, the Walls Group, a Houston, Texas-based gospel quartet, concentrates on uplifting contemporary gospel. Darrel, Rhea, Paco, and Ahjah Walls, four of eight siblings raised in a musical household, established the ensemble in 2009. Their 2012 debut arrived via an independently issued self-titled album that appeared on the Billboard gospel chart. In the same year, Grammy Award-winning vocalist/producer Kirk Franklin placed the quartet on his Fo Yo Soul Entertainment roster. Subsequent releases on the RCA-affiliated imprint included Fast Forward in 2014, which reached the top of the gospel chart, and The Other Side in 2017.
