Biography
In 2010, Southern California’s 19-year-old Alex Jacob launched his recording career under the name Therapies Son, a choice made after a “horrible breakup.” Months after issuing his first single, he had joined the swelling ranks of 21st-century bedroom pop auteurs. His style moves between the Flaming Lips’ ornate, orchestral psych rock and the raw, intimate indie pop of Twin Shadow and Perfume Genius. Jacob released his debut EP, Over the Sea, in digital format on March 22, 2011.
