Tiffany Bynoe

Tiffany Bynoe entered the world as Tiffany Williams and has built a career as a contemporary gospel vocalist whose roots reach back to 1990s urban styles and whose tastes lean toward current pop and R&B sonics. She began performing almost as soon as she learned to speak. Raised in Akron, Ohio, she received early encouragement from her grandmother, a radio promoter, who urged the youngster to seize every public performance chance. Multiple appearances on Amateur Night at the Apollo Theater yielded three victories, and by sixteen she had already turned down a recording contract, arriving in New York City after graduation as a seasoned performer. Pendulum Records became her first label home. In 1993 the project Tene Williams appeared under that alias, its single “Give Him a Love He Can Feel” reaching the Billboard Hot 100 along with assorted R&B and dance listings. Shortly afterward she wed producer Kyle Bynoe, started a family, and stepped away from solo work for an extended period while returning to Akron, though she remained active in music circles. The couple redirected their energies toward ministry, prompting Kyle to move from secular productions into gospel. During those years Bynoe contributed guest and backing vocals to scattered gospel releases and established the nonprofit Gabby’s Heart to support families navigating pediatric heart ailments akin to her daughter’s. The 2010s brought her back to recording with the explicit goal of creating uplifting material; the ballad “Your Love Completes Me” surfaced in 2011 under the Tene Williams name, followed in 2013 by “Blessed by the Best” credited to Tiffany Bynoe. Her first album issued as Tiffany Bynoe, preceded by the single “Seasons” and helmed by her husband, was slated for 2016.
