Biography
Renowned for scoring science fiction fantasy films such as The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, and Dark City, soundtrack composer Trevor Jones has applied his talents across diverse genres, including the romantic comedy Notting Hill, the political thriller 13 Days, and the action-adventure Cliffhanger. Originally from Capetown, South Africa, Jones departed the continent for studies at the Royal Academy of Music and the British National Film School. His initial major project arrived with 1981's Excalibur, after which he contributed to more than fifty films over the subsequent two decades. Among his honors are two Golden Globe nominations for The Mighty and The Last of the Mohicans, along with an Emmy nomination for the 1998 production Merlin.
