Biography
Tennessee's Triumphant Quartet stand out among Southern gospel ensembles for their rich vocal blend, relentless work ethic, and profound faith, with the same four members performing together since their debut concert in 2003. Over the next decade and a half the quartet evolved from regional Smoky Mountain attractions into a nationally recognized touring outfit, releasing more than twenty albums and collecting multiple awards along the way.
The group formed in Sevierville, Tennessee, in 2003, featuring lead vocalist Clayton Inman, his son baritone Scott Inman, tenor David Sutton, and bass Eric Bennett. For their initial two years they performed as the Integrity Quartet at the Louise Mandrell Theater in nearby Pigeon Forge, delivering a classic Southern gospel style that incorporated country influences. Following their 2005 name change to Triumphant Quartet, they issued a series of favorably received projects including Treasures (2006), You Gotta Love It (2007), and Everyday (2009), the last of which received a Grammy nomination for Best Southern, Country or Bluegrass Gospel Album. Having concluded their regular engagement in Pigeon Forge, the quartet began extensive touring throughout the United States, building an audience with tracks such as "Saved by Grace" and "Love Came Calling."
Throughout their first ten years most releases appeared on their own imprint, yet in 2012 they joined Mansion Entertainment, broadening the distribution of projects such as Hymns Collection (2012) and Awesome God (2014). They subsequently moved to Stowtown Records, achieving additional success with Thankful (2017) and Yes (2019).
