Biography
Twin Limb came together in 2013 as a Louisville, Kentucky dream pop trio marked by neo-psychedelic leanings, formed by accordionist and vocalist Lacey Guthrie together with percussionist Maryliz Bender. Full realization of the ensemble’s distinctive fusion of indie pop, post-punk, and bass/drone-heavy psych-folk arrived in 2014 upon the addition of producer and multi-instrumentalist Kevin Ratterman, who produced the group’s 2015 debut EP Anything Is Possible and Nothing Makes Sense. Throughout 2016 the trio accompanied My Morning Jacket’s Jim James on tour, acting at once as the opening act and his backing band. That same year Suretone issued the band’s long-developed first full-length album, Haplo.
