TWS arose as a six-member K-pop outfit under Pledis Entertainment near the end of 2023, merging luminous and polished pop with rap elements to achieve immediate chart prominence. The roster lists Shinyu in the leadership role with Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon, and Kyungmin, while the act’s designation carries the extended phrase “24-seven with us.” Pledis labeled the style “boyhood pop,” centered on the routine experiences of adolescent males, and Shinyu alone among them had already reached age twenty when the group launched.

Their first single, “Oh Mymy: 7s,” surfaced in the opening weeks of January 2024 and was swiftly followed by the debut EP Sparkling Blue before that month concluded. The project ascended directly to the summit of the Korean charts, and the band registered comparable early impact in Japan, where Sparkling Blue settled at number three.
