Biography
Forming a trio from San Diego, Jesse Klecker on drums with Paul Lai and Cameron Presley both on guitars and moog, the band known as Upsilon Acrux first surfaced on the 1998 compilation Before the Pirates Came. Drawing from improv jazz and prog rock in the vein of King Crimson, the self-proclaimed "maximist" outfit later signed to WIN Records, which issued the group’s debut album, LST Pirates of Upsilon, in 1999.
