Biography
Born on September 1, 1960 in Wuppertal, German pop singer Uwe Busse has collected more than 25 gold records over the course of his career. Between 1985 and 2005 he served as songwriter and producer for the Flippers while also supplying hit material to artists such as G.G. Anderson, Roland Kaiser, Rex Gildo, Bernd Clüver, Ireen Sheer, Tony Christie, and Andy Borg. He first stepped in front of the microphone himself in 1985, issuing his debut single under the alias Peter Tobias. His true commercial breakthrough did not occur until the close of the decade, when he issued the album Nimm dir Zeit zum Träumen (Take Time to Dream) under his own name. Following a short pause from solo work, Busse returned in spring 2003 with Ich Habe einen Traum (I Have a Dream Again), an album shaped by his personal and professional experiences. In the years that followed he continued to release well-received singles and full-length projects, among them Schlaflos (Sleepless) in 2011 and Gelebte Träume (Lived Dreams) in 2013, both of which reached the German Top 40.
