Bernhard Brink

Bernhard Brink, recognized across Germany as both a vocalist and a radio and television presenter, came into the world on May 17, 1952. While advancing toward a law degree in Berlin during the opening years of the 1970s, he chose instead to devote himself fully to music. A contract with Hansa Records followed, yielding roughly a dozen charting singles issued between 1974 and 1981, many of them thinly disguised adaptations of English pop tunes. As performing opportunities diminished in the 1980s he turned to broadcasting, achieving success as a radio host and TV moderator whose renewed public profile in turn lifted his standing as a singer and allowed his recording career to regain momentum throughout the 1990s; across assorted labels he has placed some two dozen albums and hits collections on the market.
