Valient Thorr

Frontman Valient Himself recounts that the hard-rocking metal outfit Valient Thorr originated on Venus many thousands of years earlier, traversing the space-time continuum until they reached Earth in 1957. After their time-travel machine crashed in North Carolina and was taken by Walt Disney, the group—guitarists Eidan Thorr and Odinn Thorr, bassist Dr. Professor Nitewolf Strangees, and drummer Lucian Thorr—stayed on the planet to continue rocking while hunting for a route home. Their debut LP, Total Universe Man, appeared in 2005. Legend of the World came out one Earth year afterward. Following the replacement of Odinn Thorr by Voiden Thorr, the band issued Immortalizer in 2008. The Stranger arrived in 2010, after which they delivered their beastly sixth album, Our Own Masters, in 2013. Three years later they returned with the rollicking Old Salt, which included the punk-inflected single "Mirakuru."
