Biography
Vince Converse, the Houston-born guitarist, singer, and songwriter, launched his musical path during his sophomore year of high school. Alongside his band Sunset Heights, he delivered blues-inflected rock at clubs he remained too young to enter as a patron, secured spots on television programs with worldwide reach, and joined tours supporting Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Johnny Winter, Peter Green, and Fats Domino. Following seven years with the group, Converse stepped out solo, settled in South Dakota, and issued his debut album, Nineteen Fifteen, in 1999, its title drawn from Muddy Waters’s birth year.
