Vincent Niclo trained initially as an actor at the Cours Florent, Simon, and Actors Studio schools before establishing himself as a French tenor active in film, television, and musical theater. His professional stage debut came in Martha Vandenberg’s Renaître à Bogota, after which he appeared in multiple French television series. An encounter with Thierry Dran prompted him to pursue serious vocal instruction, leading to membership in the Paris Opera Company.

Among his early musical-theater credits were the part of Jim Farrel in Titanic at both the Opéra Royal de Wallonie and the Opéra d’Avignon, performances in West Side Story at the Halle aux Grains in Toulouse, and the role of Valmont in the recorded production of Les Misérables. He also portrayed Tristan in Tristan et Iseult, assumed both title roles in Roméo et Juliette, de la Haine à l’Amour, and played Rhett Butler in Autant en Emporte le Vent.

While maintaining his commitments as an actor and musical performer, Niclo persisted with classical vocal training. In 2006 he joined nearly two hundred singers and instrumentalists for the gala Night of the Proms. Later that same year he issued his debut solo album, Un Nom sur Mon Visage. His growing reputation as a tenor secured an invitation to appear as soloist with Russia’s Red Army Choir, directed by General Viktor Eliseev, throughout the ensemble’s French engagements.

For his second album Niclo took the lead with the choir on a program of classical arias and French national songs. Issued in 2012 under the title Opéra Rouge, the recording reached the Top Five on the French charts.
