Vincent Vallières, a Québécois singer and songwriter, spent ten years establishing himself as a resilient performer through consistent album releases and steady touring that gradually expanded his audience before the 2010 single "On va s’aimer encore" brought wider attention. Born in Sherbrooke, he began shaping his approachable fusion of roots and alt-rock during adolescence by assembling the band Trente Arpents, which eventually caught the ear of producer Bernard Y. Caza. Caza helped convert the group into a solo outlet for Vallières, adopting the band’s name for his debut album in 1999. He continued sharpening his abilities over the subsequent decade, collecting praise throughout Québec while issuing accomplished records including Bordel Ambiant in 2001, Chacun Dans Son Espace in 2003, and Le Repère Tranguille in 2006. National exposure arrived when "On va s’aimer encore," taken from the 2009 album Le Monde Tourne Fort, gained traction on Canadian radio and elevated the seasoned songwriter to a broader platform. The 2013 successor Fabriquer L'aube likewise connected with listeners and reached gold certification. Across this period Vallières has continued refining his songwriting craft, supported in both touring and recording by his longstanding solo band. His seventh album, Le Temps des Vivants, was released in 2017.
