Biography
Brothers Wolfgang and Reinhard Voigt, two of techno's most revered producers known respectively as Mike Ink and Gas as well as Kron and Pentax, launched their joint recording career in June 2002. The Cologne, Germany natives supplied both selections on Kompakt's third Speicher installment, the gnashing "Korn" and the moody "Roxy." A few months afterward they filled every side of Speicher 5, among them the chugging melodic techno piece "Vision 03," an early highlight for the label. Following Speicher 10 in 2003 and Speicher 22 in 2004, their releases became sporadic, limited to Speicher 54 in 2007 and Speicher 69 in 2011 over the next several years. Momentum returned in 2012 when they inaugurated the club-focused Erdingertrax 12" series. Those three records later appeared together on a single CD in early 2013. That collection came just before Die Zauberhafte Welt der Anderen, a Kompakt album of fresh cinematic material issued in February 2013. Another 12", Super, arrived the next year. Three years after that the duo resurfaced with Speicher 99.
