Biography
Argentine rapper Valentin Oliva, better known as Wos, fuses rap, rock, trap, and funk into a distinctive sound. His father performed as a musician with La Bomba de Tiempo, while his mother danced with El Diablo en la Boca. From childhood he trained on piano and drums and later pursued acting at the Escuela Metropolitana de Arte Dramático in Buenos Aires. He first gained notice as a freestyle battle rapper, entering competitions at age 15. After claiming the world battle-rap title in 2018, he stepped away from contests to focus on original material. That same year he issued his debut single “Púrpura,” which paved the way for the full-length Caravana in 2019—an album rooted in social-protest themes informed by his work as a Civil Rights activist. While isolated during quarantine he recorded and released the EP Tres puntos suspensivos, and in 2021 he returned with the album OSCURO ÉXTASIS.
