Biography
Hailing from Louisiana like numerous other No Limit acts, Young Bleed caught the ear of label founder and CEO Master P, who recruited the rapper for the I'm Bout It soundtrack in early 1997 and subsequently signed him. My Balls & My Word, his first album, was added to the No Limit release calendar around the same period yet did not reach stores until January 1998. Within a month the project earned gold certification and entered the Top Ten on the pop album charts. Late 1999 brought the follow-up My Own, which appeared on Priority rather than No Limit and posted weaker commercial results. Young Bleed resurfaced in 2002 under the name Young Bleed Carleone, delivering Vintage as the debut release on Da'tention Home Records.
