Biography
Playa Fly emerged among Tennessee’s earliest rappers to issue compact discs, entering the scene in 1996 via the independently issued Fly Shit on Super Sigg Records, the first in a series of projects the label would handle for him. Initial recognition arrived through pointed disses aimed at the far more prominent Tennessee rap crew Three 6 Mafia, notably on the track “Flizy Comin’ [Triple Bitch Mafia, Pt. 2],” yet the resulting friction produced little lasting impact and left Playa Fly continuing his career along underground routes in the years that followed.
