As a South Korean vocalist affiliated with the Loona collective, Yves has also distinguished herself as an individual artist through introspective pop and R&B material. Capitalizing on the group’s earlier chart momentum, she entered the solo arena in 2024 with the EP Loop.

Entering the world as Ha Soo-young in Busan in 1997, Yves displayed an early affinity for stage performance. By her teenage years, ambitions for a professional life centered on music and dance had already formed. Following a preparatory training phase, she joined the K-pop girl group Loona in 2017. During the collective’s sequence of advance releases, she issued the two-track EP Yves, which contained the tracks “New” and “D-1” and reached number 18 on the Circle Album chart. Her contributions also appeared on Loona’s first EP, [+ +], released in August 2018; that project attained the number-two position in Korea and the number-four spot on both the U.S. World Albums and Heatseekers charts. Additional EPs from the group subsequently secured Top Five placements across Korea.

In 2024 Yves entered a recording agreement with the Paix Per Mil imprint and issued her debut solo EP, Loop. The project, driven by its title-track single that includes Lil Cherry, climbed to number 13 in South Korea. That same year she supplied the song “Breath” for the soundtrack of the television series Missing Crown Prince.
