Biography
Emy, who fronts 10lec6 on vocals, first connected with bassist Simon while both attended art school. Bonded by a mutual affinity for post-punk and hardcore, the pair brought aboard Jess, already active as a DJ, to handle drums. Gazelle, whose earlier tenure included multiple hardcore bands alongside Simon, completed the roster. Issued as the band’s inaugural release, the EP Join Us delivered a striking synthesis of post-punk drive and new wave textures; European press response prompted its licensing to Troubleman Unlimited. The label is also slated to issue the follow-up full-length Counseling Orientation during fall 2006.
