Biography
Hailing from Toronto, 13 Engines put out a pair of records via a Detroit independent label during 1987 and 1989, followed by their first major-label effort, A Blur to Me Now, which came out on SBK in 1991. Early 1994 saw the release of Perpetual Motion Machine by Atlantic, an album blending melody with post-punk and incorporating feedback. John Critchley handles vocals, guitar, and organ for the group, while Grant Ethier plays drums, Jim Hughes is on bass, and Mike Robbins takes guitar duties.
