The Cirla brothers launched Alusa Fallax in Milan during 1969, yet the ensemble settled in the modest northern Italian town of Novara. Early prospects pointed toward a string of obscure singles on assorted domestic imprints, nearly all of which have since faded from memory. Their first single, 1969’s “Dedicato a chi ama Charleston,” was succeeded later that year by “Tutto passa Cade una stella.” Several seasons of live work, including support slots for visiting foreign acts, preceded a deal with Fonit that allowed recording sessions for a debut album to begin in 1974.

Organized as two extended suites containing thirteen tracks altogether, Intorno Alla Mia Cattiva Educazione displayed an uncommonly ambitious outfit whose sound recalled period Gentle Giant and suggested a promising trajectory. The album proved to be their sole release, however, since the group disbanded before the year ended.
