Biography
Hailing from Boston, the neo-psychedelic and indie rock trio Apollo Sunshine reshapes ordinary tunes by running them through an underground pop filter that calls to mind Georgia's Elephant 6 collective, Cheap Trick, and the Flaming Lips. The band consists of Jesse Gallagher on vocals, bass, and keyboards, guitarist and vocalist Sam Cohen, and drummer and percussionist Jeremy Black. Their first release, Katonah, appeared in 2003 on Spin Art, with a self-titled second album following in 2005; three years after that Apollo Sunshine delivered Shall Noise Upon via Headless Heroes.
