Biography
Hailing from Brighton, England, alt-rock duo ARXX delivers a forceful sound built from gritty guitar lines, powerful percussion, sharp vocals, queer viewpoints, and polished pop touches. Their first EP, Daughters of Daughters, arrived in 2018. Subsequent short-form projects included the 2019 EP Wrong Girl Honey plus tracks such as the 2022 single "Can't Stand You."
ARXX began as the solo endeavor of vocalist/guitarist Hanni Pidduck, who contacted Clara Townsend in 2017 seeking drummer recommendations, prompting Townsend to offer her own services. An immediate connection between the two prompted the release of Daughters of Daughters that same year. In 2018 they joined Dream Wife for a U.K. tour. Wrong Girl Honey, their next EP, emerged in 2019 and contained "Iron Lung," which surpassed one million streams. Additional singles followed across subsequent years, among them 2020's "Call Me Crazy," 2021's "Deep," and 2022's "Can't Stand You," recorded with AA Sessions, paperflag, and PROJECTOR.
