Bamily

Hailing from Brixton, the multi-instrumentalist outfit Bamily weaves DJ techniques, sampling, and turntablism through an eclectic blend of indie, hip-hop, and pop. The name itself reflects the notion of a musical collective maturing into a tight-knit family, bringing together Tim Raben, Benjy Gibson, Louis Fulford-Smith, and Charlie Pitts. Onstage the four mount flamboyant productions that mix spinning records, performing in tandem with those records, and trading instruments to sustain an easy, unbroken flow. Their first release, the 2019 single “Hello Stranger,” distilled the unhurried pulse that underpins the group’s relaxed outlook.
