Biography
The formation of Japan's Banana Erectors arose from an enchantment with the Ramones, early 1960s female pop vocalists, and 1977 punk. May's piercing vocals fronting their bratty, three-chord pop-punk tracks generated widespread notice across both sides of the Pacific and landed a contract with Sympathy for The Record Industry. A debut single surfaced in 1998, and the self-titled full-length followed the next year.
