Biography
Banda Los Lagos, a group based in California, relocated to the United States in the early 1990s. The ensemble secured a contract with the independent label Luna and issued its first album, Virgencita de Guadalupe, in 1992. The following year the band undertook its initial tour of Mexico. Its single "Te Quiero, Te Amo, Te Extrano" subsequently rose on Billboard’s Hot Latin Tracks chart. The album Reina de Reinas established Banda Los Lagos as a major force in traditional Mexican music throughout Latin America and the U.S. market.
