Biography
In 2002 the hardcore punk revival band Bars came together as a Boston quintet. Fronted by fiery vocalist Kevin Baker, the group draws inspiration from the Dead Boys and Entombed while earning favorable comparisons to Black Flag and Discharge. Their raw, no-frills D.I.Y. sound attracted Equal Vision Records in 2003, which led to the October 2004 release of the brutal ten-song debut Introducing and a subsequent nationwide tour.
