Known for his intense vocal style and unconventional beats anchored by deep low-end frequencies, Blake—whose middle name reportedly serves as his primary moniker—emerged as a hardcore rapper out of San Antonio, Texas. During his late teenage years he quickly cultivated a devoted following across his home state through informal recommendations and energetic performances, which soon translated into millions of YouTube views and streaming plays for his debut single “Flexin’,” issued near the close of 2016. Throughout 2017, while preparing his first EP, he issued further tracks such as “Going Crazy,” “Big Homie” with Trill Sammy, “Ice Ice” featuring DDG, and “A Drip Like This,” the last of which appeared on his initial full-length project bearing the same title. That album also contained “How I'm Comin” alongside YBN Almighty Jay and the cut “Too Many.” His output continued unabated into 2019, marked by a steady succession of singles including “Big Deal,” “She's Been,” and “Gimme Mine.”
