Blaque

Shamari, Natina, and Brandi formed the R&B trio Blaque, whose name serves as an acronym for "Believe, Life, Achieving, Quest, Unity and Everything." The group came to prominence after being discovered by Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes of TLC, resulting in the release of their debut self-titled album via Columbia's Trackmasters imprint during the middle of 1999. Their follow-up effort, Blaque Out, came out in 2002 but solely within Japan; a brief digital distribution occurred in the U.S. in 2007 prior to its withdrawal from stores, with another digital edition appearing in 2011. Although a third album called Torch was completed, it remained unreleased. Natina Reed, one of the members, met her end in 2012 in Lawrenceville, Georgia, after a car struck her during a street crossing.
