Biography
Bloodclot stands as an established hardcore punk ensemble that draws its personnel from the ranks of the Cro-Mags, Danzig, and Queens of the Stone Age. Although the conceptual seeds for the band were planted as far back as 1981 amid a Cro-Mags outing alongside Bad Brains, its most significant lineup materialized in 2016, at which point Cro-Mags frontman John Joseph joined forces with ex-Danzig guitarist Todd Youth along with ex-QOTSA bassist Nick Oliveri and drummer Joey Castillo to secure a recording contract via Metal Blade. The resulting four-piece, which merges hardcore punk with metal in a ferocious manner, released its first album under the imprint, titled Up in Arms, during July 2017.
