Biography
Hailing from New York, Pro-Pain fuses the raw intensity of hardcore punk with the intricate execution of speed metal. Their first release, Foul Taste of Freedom, arrived in 1992 and earned strong approval among metal listeners, after which the band gradually cultivated a loyal audience throughout America and Europe over the ensuing half-decade.
The second full-length, Truth Hurts, surfaced in 1994, with Contents Under Pressure following in 1996. January 1998 brought their self-titled fourth album, succeeded soon after by Act of God in 1999 and Round Six in 2000. Following a two-year hiatus, output accelerated once more via Shreds of Dignity in 2002, Fistful of Hate in 2004, and Prophets of Doom in 2005. The tenth effort, Age of Tyranny: The Tenth Crusade, landed in 2007 and led directly into No End in Sight the next year.
A comparatively measured pace emerged with Absolute Power, the twelfth album, issued in 2010, before another two-year interval preceded Straight to the Dome in 2012. Their fourteenth record, The Final Revolution, appeared in 2014.
