Biography
No Innocent Victim burst onto the scene in 1992, catching their native San Diego off guard by transplanting the gritty textures of old school East Coast hardcore onto the shores of South Beach California. Drawing from Youth of Today, Agnostic Front, and Sick of it All, the band layered in their signature metallic chugga-chugga guitar approach while drawing additional motivation from the big guy upstairs. As one of the scarce Christian hardcore outfits drawing notice from both the converted and skeptics alike, they issued their debut album Strength on Rescue Records in 1995, with No Compromise arriving two years afterward. After extensive North American touring and securing a contract with Victory Records, Flesh And Blood surfaced in 1999, positioning No Innocent Victim as the sole other California act on the Victory roster besides Strife.
