Biography
After Mars Volta issued their 2012 album Noctourniquet, guitarist Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and drummer Deantoni Parks launched the alternative rock band Bosnian Rainbows together with keyboardist Nicci Kasper and Le Butcherettes vocalist Teri Gender Bender. Teri Gender Bender, born Teresa Suarez, brought a sexy yet powerful presence that shaped the endeavor profoundly, steering the Mars Volta boys away from their customary experimental post-rock excursions toward fresh terrain built from tight, tidy goth pop songs. Bosnian Rainbows' self-titled album debuted in June of 2013.
