Biography
Hailing from the Bay Area, experimental black metal outfit Bosse-de-Nage cultivates an aura of enigma that matches the elusive character of its music. The group weaves in the expansive textures associated with post-rock, enabling its material to stretch into open, atmospheric territory or collapse inward through dense clusters of piercing guitars and relentless drumming. The withdrawn collective first captured its self-titled debut on tape in 2007 yet waited until 2010 to issue the album through Flenser, then delivered the follow-up full-length II the next year. Attention from Profound Lore resulted in the release of the band’s third album, III, in 2012.
