Biography
Palms originated in 2011 as an art metal supergroup that unites ex-Isis musicians Jeff Caxide, Aaron Harris, and Bryant Clifford Meyer with Chino Moreno of Deftones. Their approach favors measured, atmospheric textures that lean lighter than prior material from any participant, summoning echoes of those histories without replication—an achievement made notable by the singular character of each musician’s earlier output. The quartet delivered its first release, the self-titled album, via Mike Patton’s Ipecac imprint in 2013.
