Calyx

London-based jungle/drum 'n bass production duo Calyx consists of guitarist Larry Cons, previously the leader of the jazz-funk outfit Octane, alongside ex-drummer Chris Rush. Having first crossed paths at Oxford Brookes University, the pair soon pooled their efforts and established a personal recording facility in Streatham, South London. Their initial release, “Cubie,” appeared in early 1998, with the Top 20 follow-up “Techtonic” arriving shortly afterward.
