Circle II Circle

Throughout much of the 1990s, vocalist Zachary Stevens fronted the Floridian heavy metal institution Savatage until his departure midway through 2000 to handle family matters. Once those personal issues were settled the next year, he joined forces with former Savatage associates Jon Oliva and Chris Caffery to develop material that planted the groundwork for the formation of Circle II Circle. Guitarist Matt LaPorte, keyboard player John Zahner, bassist Kevin Rothney, and drummer Chris Kinder were soon brought in to complete the lineup responsible for the 2003 AFM Records release Waiting in Silence.
