Mystic Prophecy presents itself as a power metal band whose lineup includes R.D. Liapakis on vocals, Gus G. handling guitar, Martin Albrecht on bass, and Dennis Ekdahl behind the drums, with several members having previously belonged to Valley's Eve. Their sound draws clear inspiration from classic outfits such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Queensrÿche, offering longtime listeners a direct bridge back to the spirit of 1980s metal. The group issued its first album, Vengeance, during August 2001.
