In Nottinghamshire, England, beside Sherwood Forest, vocalist and guitarist Steve Ford joined his guitar-playing brother Mike, bassist Baz Barrett, and drummer Chris Billam to establish Consumed in 1994. Their intense punk rock sound secured festival appearances on the skate, surf, and snowboard circuit, among them the Newquay Surf Festivals in 1997 and 1998, the U.K. Snowboard Festivals of 1995 and 1996, and the Nottingham Skate Festival in 1997. The group also logged extensive British Isles tours alongside NOFX, Snuff, Shelter, and additional hardcore acts. In 1998 Snuff delivered a Consumed demo to Fat Wreck Chords in San Francisco, prompting an immediate signing; the label issued the six-song debut album Breakfast at Pappa's before the year ended. Fat Wreck Chords followed in 1999 with the band’s first full-length release, Hit for Six. Consumed returned briefly in March 2003 through the BYO album Pistols at Dawn, only to disband by the close of that year. They re-formed in 2015 and issued the EP A Decade of No in 2018.
