Biography
Forming in Piscataway, New Jersey in 2010, the indie emo/punk duo Dads came together around guitarist Scott Scharinger and drummer John Bradley. The two had already crossed paths in the local scene through house shows, overlapping friends, and shared musical tastes. They began as a trio that included a bassist, yet found their strongest connection once reduced to a guitar-and-drums lineup in which both members sang. After issuing several EPs and singles, the band delivered its debut full-length, American Radass, in 2012. Constant touring helped expand their audience, leading to the Pretty Good EP in 2013. The group later relocated to Ann Arbor, Michigan, signed with the California-based indie label 6131 Records, and released its second LP, I'll Be the Tornado, in 2014.
