Based in Benson, Minnesota, the emotionally charged screamo/math rock outfit Tiny Moving Parts came together through the efforts of Dylan Mattheisen, William Chevalier, and Matthew Chevalier during their high school years. Their first release arrived as the 2010 EP Moving to Antarctica, which was succeeded in 2013 by the full-length This Couch Is Long & Full on Kind of Like Records. The following year the group secured a contract with Triple Crown and delivered their second album, Pleasant Living. They later reunited with producer Greg Lindholm, who had helmed the earlier Kind of Like release, to track their third LP, Celebrate. Scheduled for mid-2016, the album marked their second outing on Triple Crown while serving as their introduction on the U.K. imprint Big Scary Monsters. In 2018 Tiny Moving Parts issued their fourth album, Swell, which surfaced after the lead single "Caution" appeared. The next year, following extensive U.S. and European touring behind Swell, the band moved to Hopeless Records. They promptly headed into the studio for the next project, resulting in Breathe, which arrived in late 2019 behind the single "Medicine."
