Seahaven

Seahaven craft a distinctive style by fusing the introspective storytelling of post-hardcore and emo with the expansive spatial qualities and dynamic range found in post-rock, carving an independent route amid the genre's growing uniformity. The Torrance, California outfit has developed an approach designed to catch audiences off guard, pivoting abruptly between hazy atmospheric passages and propulsive punk energy. The group first presented this aesthetic through the Ghost EP in 2010, then issued its debut full-length, Winter Forever, the following year. Following a tour alongside Touché Amore, Seahaven turned to recording its second album and achieved a fresh artistic peak with Reverie Lagoon: Music for Escapism Only in 2014.
