Biography
Title Fight came together in Kingston, Pennsylvania during 2003, reviving the raw urgency of early emo and post-hardcore through propulsive guitar textures paired with tense, raspy hardcore vocals. The lineup began as a trio—Jamie Rhoden handling guitar and vocals alongside twin brothers Ned Russin on bass and Ben Russin on drums—before guitarist Shane Moran joined in 2005. Early singles and EPs later surfaced together as the 2009 collection The Last Thing You Forget, issued by Run for Cover. The group joined SideOneDummy Records in 2011 and prepared its first official album, enlisting hardcore veteran Walter Schreifels—previously of Youth of Today and Gorilla Biscuits—as producer. That same year saw the release of the Billboard-charting Shed. An intense run of dates across the United States, Europe, and Australia followed, with support slots alongside Rise Against and Touché Amoré. The band next delivered the Will Yip-produced Floral Green in 2012, after which it parted ways with SideOneDummy. Revelation Records put out the 2013 EP Spring Songs, and in 2014 Title Fight revealed its signing to ANTI Records ahead of the third album, 2015’s Hypervision.
