Biography
Danny Wood belongs to New Kids on the Block while sustaining an independent path that also encompasses songwriting, production, and acting. Outside the group he first explored solo work through the one-man instrumental endeavor D:Fuse, which issued Room Full of Smoke in 1999 and Room Full of Smoke, Vol. 2 in 2003. Under his own name he next delivered the 2003 album Second Face, whose rock emphasis diverged from the sound of his primary band. An acoustic tour came next, during which audiences could obtain the limited CD O.F.D.: Originally from Dorchester. Coming Home appeared in 2008, and the following year brought Stronger: Remember Betty, a project shaped by the death of his mother. In tribute he soon established the breast cancer research charity Remember Betty. The 2016 solo album Look at Me contained the single “Hold On,” an anthem written for breast cancer survivors.
