Biography
David Kauffman launched his music ministry as a singer and songwriter through regular appearances at Sunday evening youth gatherings in San Antonio. Selection of his composition “Come and See” as the 1989 theme for the National Catholic Youth Conference prompted him to widen his schedule, bringing performances to youth rallies, colleges, and churches throughout the United States. His first album, Simple Truth, appeared in 1999, with Be Still following in 2002 and Behold released in 2003. In 2010 the Mass of Renewal, which Kauffman co-composed with William Gokelman, received top honors in the New Mass Competition conducted that year by the National Association of Pastoral Musicians.
